Trying 3 Different Boba Tea in SS15 Boba Street!

BOBA TEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Ehem*

So today we are checking the infamous Boba Tea Street in SS15 Subang Jaya in Selangor,Malaysia. Many of us Malaysian have tried out various of different Boba Tea Store in this few years however today we will bring you to try out our picks on which Boba Tea Store that we plan to look into it further. Too see if it lives up to the trend of not lah! LOL!

No.1 2D Bubble Tea, SS15

The first place that we decided to look in further is non other than the special 2 Dimensional but not so 2 Dimensional Store which is the 2D Bubble Tea! At first glance of the store, you can tell in the SS15 2D Bubble Tea store is in an Egyptian Theme! 

You can see why we are intrigued to try out this shop! Isn't this just one of the coolest place to just to hangout with friends and have a cup of Boba!? Putting this aside, 2D Bubble Tea is definitely one of the place that is very Instagram Worthy as it usually differs from other Boba Tea Themes that are more luxurious and chill. 2D Bubble Tea however, brings out the fun in a Cafe where you can take picture in different places and also.......

They have a ball pit! how could you say NO TO A BALL PIT! Ehem* very nice.

In 2D Bubble Tea, they have prepared this place just to take various kind of photos for their customer for example (Picture above), they have prepared props for YOUUUU to take picture with in this Black and White Egyptian Themed Cafe! Fun right? And now you have an official Insta worthy picture from a Boba Tea Cafe.

But ultimately, we are here to try out the Boba Tea so YOUUUU, can decide whether to come here to try out 2D Bubble Tea or not!

Signature Drink: Brown Sugar Fresh Milk Boba

BEHOLD! 2D signature Brown Sugar Fresh Milk Boba! Even the Boba Tea Packaging suits to the Cafe's Theme designed in a 2D style.

This bottle of Boba cost us around RM15 per bottle. As for the taste, it's where it disappoint us a little as we are paying a whooping RM15 for something special, it just flat out taste cheap is it taste legit nothing more than Fresh Milk with Brown Sugar and Boba. I guess it taste like what it is. BUT! if you are a milk lover, this probably is for you and it's worth trying atleast once due to the interesting cafe theme and bottle that you get from 2D Bubble Tea (can bring the bottle home if you want).

Conclusion:

Taste: 6/10 (average lah)

Packaging: 10/10

Ambiance: 8/10 (Insta Worthy)

No.2 Xing Fu Tang (幸福堂) SS15

Our second stop was to Xing Fu Tang SS15! This place claim to be Taiwan's No.1 Boba Tea store! This Boba Tea Cafe is interesting as they actually make their own stir friend brown sugar pearls! (I copied and paste what the their slogans said LOL!)

As you can see, beside the counter there is a furnace where the employees in Xing Fu Tang made their own Fresh Stir Fried Brown Sugar Boba!

In terms of vibes, Xing Fu Tang has a very classy and modern chinese vibes to the store. They even provide something fun for the customer where you can see on the left where YOU! can get your Fortune told! Isn't that interesting? Last time chinese restaurant have fortune cookies, now in Boba Tea you can get your fortune told too!

Aiyo, the fortune english and chinese not same lahh!

Signature Drink: Brown Sugar Boba Milk

Like all boba store, ultimately we are here to try out the taste of the boba! But oh my gosh look at the Marbling of Brown Sugar and Milk in this cup of Boba! its mesmerizing to just watch LOL!

The taste for this cup of Boba is not bad, I would say this is how I want Brown Sugar Milk Boba to taste like, it's creamy, sweet and has warm bobas yet cool milk. Overall, it is a nice place to take a break and have a great conversation with a friend, the packaging is just a plastic cup nothing special in comparison to 2D Bubble Tea, but I guess it just does what it's suppose to do.

Conclusion:

Taste: 7.5/10

Packaging: 6/10 (Well it's just a plastic cup lol)

Ambiance: 7/10

No.3 Daboba (熊黑堂) SS15

Our last and final stop is at DABOBA!!!!! come and say it with me! DA!!BO!!!BA!!!! Ehem*

Let's talk about ambience first, Daboba actually gives out the vibes slightly more westernize and more of a Starbucks kinda vibes. It's a very comfortable place to just yum cha (Have a drink) with friends here. It's a place you will just sit and be so comfortable and chill for a long time with a good conversation. (I guess all Boba Cafe have this vibes somehow LOL!).

Daboba's Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha with Cheese Topping

Personally, I am a very basic person never that would've thought that Matcha would work with brown sugar boba and I didn't like cheese topping from most boba cafe that I've tried. But Daboba changed my life, Daboba created a HARMONY of FLAVOUR on this cup of boba tea. It is all very well balanced and I would say the best tasting cup of Boba among all three shops that we've tried. Packaging on the other hand *take note ah Daboba*, It's kinda bad, there is a section where you can open up the lid to taste the cheese and there is a section to poke the straw through. However we tried poking for a long time, that hole wouldn't even break. FIX THAT DABOBA!

Conclusion:

Taste: 9/10 (game changer)

Packaging: 5.5/10 (faulty packaging)
Ambiance: 7.5/10
